 Barbs' fried salmon salad wrap

Ingredients:

2 salmon fillets

1.5 Lemons

2 garlic cloves

Italian seasoning

Butter

Lettuce

Tomato

Cucumber

Tortilla

Firstly, you will want to place 1.5 table spoons of butter in a pan and let it melt on a low heat. 

Secondly, squeeze your lemon into a small bowl with your crushed garlic clove and Italian seasoning. Cover your salmon in your lemon garlic sauce then place it in the pan and bring the heat to a medium heat and cook each side (top, bottom and sides) for around 2 minuets each. 

While your salmon is cooking, slice your tomatoes, cucumber and wash your lettuce ready for the wrap. 

Once the salmon has done its 2 mins on each side, begin to crumble it down into smaller pieces and fry the salmon. Add some garlic lemon sauce from earlier for flavour to the middle too.

 

Once this is crispy, place into the tortilla wrap with the salad and add any sauce of your choice.

Garlic butter chicken and vegetables.

Ingredients: 

Chicken breast

Garlic

Butter

Salt 

Frozen vegetables

Preheat the oven at 180°C

First step is to make our garlic butter. crush your garlic with Italian seasoning and add 3 big table spoons of butter.

Once all mixed together, place into cling film and roll it using a rolling pin motion and attempt to get it into a cylinder shape. Place this in the fridge for a few hours to harden (or if you're lazy like me then just put it in the freezer for 1 hour or less)

Once your butter is ready, take it out and make slices. 

Now get your chicken and make a small slice down the side and pace two of your garlic butter slices in the cut you just made. 

Cut one of your slices in half and align them on a baking tray. place your chicken on top of the butter and scatter your frozen veg on the same tray. 

To attempt to get the perfect golden cooked chicken, place slices of butter on your chicken and veg. Now place the tray in the oven for 20 minuets.

Remove the veg from the tray and put the chicken back in for another 20 minuets. 

After 20 mins, remove the chicken and serve :)

tip: cook baby red roast potatoes while cooking part boned chicken breast as they have very similar cooking times.

Sirloin steak, chips and onion rings

Ingredients: 

Sirloin steak (aldi £3.65)

Chips

Onion rings

(optional) frozen vegetable

Salt

Pepper

Steak seasoning

Firstly, season your steak with salt pepper and steak seasoning on both sides and let it sit fir a minute or two. 

now, place your chips and onion rings in the oven at 180°C for 20 minuets.

You can now place your frozen veg in a sauce pan full of water ready to boil.

Finally, use butter to cook the steak instead of oil. Spend 3-4 minuets on each  side to ensure it's cooked properly. 

Once done, plate it up with everything else, a sauce of your choice and enjoy :)
